This brief was set by ‘The Institute Of Physics’ with an aim to allow the audience to feel they can study any subject they want and not feel like its something they ought to do due to their gender?
The final outcomes were two A2 posters to be communicated around secondary schools aimed at children aged 14-16.
The idea behind these designs was not to just show a man wearing a stereotypical nursing uniform or a woman wearing a builders outfit but to get students to question themselves what they want to do when their older. I also designed each poster to have one with a male dominent figure and the other with a female dominent figure to represent the power of each gender.
My work was exhibited in ‘The Power of the Poster’ Exhibition 2017 at Ravensbourne London.
